Bonjour everybody. Woke up early today. Actually while you are on exchange, you tend to wake up pretty early like 6am-8am. But it may be due to the jet lag. Our first destination was Pierre Herme! That is a very nice macarons and chocolate store, especially in Paris.
Afterwards we headed to Notre Dame Cathedral. There's a nice bakery called Hure there where they have nice chocolate almond croissants.
And welcome to the Cathedral! If you are a christian/catholic maybe this place will be more interesting to you, but it was only so so to me.
Then we went to Saint Chapelle to look at some glass windows. But it's a pretty small gallery, and not many glass windows to be honest.
And then Shakespeare and Co! This is a very popular bookstore that is just next to the Notre Dame. Even though it is called Shakespeare and Co, Shakespeare hasn't been here before.
Then we headed to where I think is the Latin quarter. You can get an entree, main and dessert for about 10-12 euros here. But the food is only so so. To eat good Paris food at a good price, much research must be done. Check out my Paris guide to find out more.
Next, we went to a Musee National Du Moyen Ace Thermes. Apparently it used to be a public bath here.
And our last museum for today is the Pantheon! This is a very nice monument that is dedicated to Saint Genevieve that saved Paris from the Huns. The architecture of the monument is amazing and you can check out a crypt of some famous people here.
Just to wrap up the day, we had a little picnic at Jardin de Tuileries, a short walk from the Pantheon. A very nice place to have a picnic, just that it would be better if the weather was warmer. Still, a beautiful garden. Pwns botanical gardens anyday imo.
On our way back, we chanced upon an Eric Kayser store. This is a atas bakery chain that is quite famous in Paris.
